Certifications:
ACCI = American Consortium of Certified Interpreters*
In November 2005, an agreement was reached with CCASDHH (California Coalition of Agencies Serving the Deaf and Hard of Hearing), RID & NAD. ACCI Levels III-V could join RID as NAD certified at the equivalent level.
CDI = Certified Deaf Interpreter
CDI-P = Certified Deaf Interpreter- Provisional* 
CI = Certificate of Interpreting*
CLIP = Conditional Legal Interpreting Permit*
CLIP-R = Conditional Legal Interpreting Permit-Relay
     Offered to CDIs while a legal interpreting test for Deaf interpreters is being developed.
CT = Certificate of Transliterating*
CSC = Comprehensive Skills Certificate*
EIC = Expressive Interpreting Certificate*
ETC = Expressive Transliterating Certificate*
IC = Interpretation Certificate* (formerly known as EIC)
MCSC = Master Comprehensive Skills Certificate*
NAD I-V= National Association of the Deaf's certification*
